Warning Description: Winter Storm Warning

Warning Date: 10:02 PM EST on February 8, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning Remains In Effect Until 6 Pm Est
Wednesday...

Warning Message:A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM EST
Wednesday.
Snow will overspread the region tonight and continue into Tuesday
morning. Accumulations of 2 to 3 inches can be expected by
daybreak. The snow will mix with and may even change to rain for a
period Tuesday afternoon. This will limit additional accumulations
on Tuesday to 1 to 2 inches. There may be a lull in precipitation
late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening. But more snow will
move in late Tuesday night into Wednesday which will push storm
total accumulations to 4 to 7 inches. Furthermore...blustery to
windy conditions will develop Tuesday night resulting in blowing
and drifting snow through Wednesday.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
